Usage

  • Scheme Type - Select the type of absence that you would like to set up. The following are available
    • Maternity
    • Adoption
    • Paternity (adoption)
    • Paternity (birth)
    • Shared Paternity (adoption)
    • Shared Paternity (birth)
  • Scheme Name - The name of the current scheme
  • Effective Date - The date at which the scheme takes effect.
  • Top Up Salary - Check this to pay an employee OMP in line with their ordinary salary. 

Service Bands This is where you specify what pay employees will receive based on the length of their employment.

  • Service Months - The number of months an employee has worked.
  • Weeks - The number of weeks an employee is entitled to in each band.
  • % Paid - The percentage of the employees salary that they will receive while on leave.
  • Add Statutory pay - Check this if the employee is to receive statutory pay in addition to occupational pay.

Paternity (birth) and paternity (adoption) only have 2 bands where as the other options will all have 4.

What if I edit a scheme?

When a scheme is modified, any employees who have an absence of the scheme type that starts after the effective date will automatically be recalculated.

Can I report on the schemes and usage?

There are 2 tables named employee OSP YTD & employee OSP within export data. These exports will allow you to capture sickness taken and number of sickness days left against each band for an employee. InPay allows you to create occupational schemes for sick pay as well as absence, this is useful if you have this is useful if you have a probation period for sick pay.
