Change reporting line
You can reassign the direct reports of an employee to another manager if the employee leaves or moves to a different role that alters their management line. This action will also replace the approver for all employees reporting to the affected manager. Any pending workflows will be reassigned to the newly selected approver.
Note that this option is only available for employees with manager status. The status is set under contract → organisation tab.
To change the reporting lines for an Manager, follow the below steps:
In the employee's record, click the down arrow beside actions, then choose change reporting line.
In the change reporting line dialog box, select the new approver from the change approver to dropdown list.
The action will replace the approver for all the employees that report to this employee. Any un-approved workflows will be re-assigned to the selected approver.
Note that, if you need to change the reporting line for an individual employee, this should be done under the employee > contract > organisation page.
