Tag Categories

Tag categories are a means of attaching additional data to entities such as contractors, clients and placements.  This can be reported on with the margin report and used as a search filter if there is a financials tab option. 

Adding a value to an existing tag category

In the top right hand corner select the system configuration cog. Then within the general section, select tag categories

You will see all the available tag categories listed. Click edit on the category you wish to change. 

Throughout the screen, you will see various questions marks you can hover over to get more information. 

Within the library values field, enter the names of the tags you want. For example, Div A & Div B. 

You can also choose which items can be tagged such as placement and or worker. Who these tags are viewable by such as worker and or administrator, and who can edited them. Using the arrows select the options you want for each section. 

You can make it mandatory to select a value as well. 

Assigning a tag category to a placement

Go to profiles in the top menu heading and then placements, find the relevant placement and click the edit button. Select the financials tab.

Select the value required from the relevant drop down.

Reporting on or searching by tag categories

Once you have added and assigned tag categories, it is possible to use them to refine search results or as filters for reports. Screens such as timesheet search and list invoices in the sales or pay menu heading will have the financial tab. You can also filter on your placements using the financial tab in the search option drop down. The margin report will allow you to select any tags you wish and run all your required reports, any results will be filtered to just include the records that match the criteria. You can choose to just filter on one tag, or select multiple tags within a sector. 

Simply click in the dropdown, and select the tag you wish to use, and repeat. You can select up to 10 tags within a sector. If you wish to remove any, click on the white cross within the name on the tag.
