Task Dashboard Changes
Based on the feedback received the following changes to the task dashboard are being released:
1. Option to add a comment when completing a task
When manually completing a task, users can optionally add a comment. This may be used to explain why a task has been completed late.
If a comment has been added this will be indicated on the dashboard by a coloured triangle in the top left corner.
Hovering the mouse over the corner will show the comment as a tooltip.
2. Show time a task is due
Task due dates will now include the time a task is due.
When setting up rules for due dates, the time a task is due can be selected. If no time is selected it will default to close of business. (This is a global setting, currently set to 17:30).
3. Task Admin
In order to customise and maintain tasks, Admin users will be able to:
- view details of tasks that apply to all payrolls
- add additional tasks to specific payrolls in their office and maintain these specific tasks
- view the default rules for all tasks
- add rules for a specific payroll in their office, to override the default rules
4. Management Report
From the task dashboard, Admin users have access to a management report view of the tasks for their office.
The report can be filtered by client, pay date, task or status and can be exported to excel.
UI Improvements
In addition to the improvements to the task dashboard some UI improvements are being released:
1. Session timeout warning
A warning message will appear 2 minutes before a user’s session times out, giving them the chance to stay logged in or logout immediately. If ignored the user will be logged out automatically when the countdown reaches zero.
2. Company Logo uploader
The Company Logo upload has been improved to allow drag and drop and to offer a delete option.
3. Consistency improvements
General improvements to the UI, including:
- consistent button positioning
- consistent naming and icons
- consistent styles
- breadcrumb page titles where appropriate
