Usage

This screen allows the entry and maintenance of employee Grades.

Access to the fields on the screen is disabled unless an employee has been selected on the Search form at the top of the screen. Once an employee has been selected, the grid will show the grades for the employee, and the data entry fields will be available for entry/amendment.

Adding an Employee Grade

An Employee can have multiple Grades. The fields are as follows:

  • Start Date: Manditory field. This cannot be prior to the earliest record against a Point.
  • Grade: Manditory field. Selecting this will populate values in Point.
  • Point: Manditory field. Choose from list once Grade selected.
  • Pay Element: Select a pay element that you want the Grade to be paid against. If this is left blank then it will be set to the default pay element that has been selected in the Company General screen.
  • FTE Percent: Must be between 0 and 100. This will default to 100% if not entered.
  • Calculated FTE Percent: Read Only - This is a system calculated value.
  • Working Hours: The number of hours that the employee works in a week. *
  • Full Time Hours: Total hours available to work in a week. *
  • Working Weeks: The number of weeks that the employee works in a year. *
  • FTE Working Weeks: Total weeks available to work in a year. *
  • Hourly Rate: Read Only - This is a system calculated value.
  • Custom 1: This can be used to input further information required.
  • Custom 2: See Custom 1.

Employee Grade History - Grades

All the grades associated with the selected employee. Click on a row to make changes to an entry. Changes cannot be made to a worker record once it has been committed, only an end date can be added. The end date must either be greater or equal to the start date, or in the case of a record being entered in error, the day before the start date. A record is committed when it has a value under applied period.

Employee Grade History - Pay History

The 'Pay History' tab shows a breakdown of the Grade rates that have been in place while the employee has been on a Grade.

* Cannot be negative and will default to 0 if not entered.
