As an administrator, you can combine user accounts so that users with multiple accounts can log into RSM InTime using a single username and password. Only administrators with advanced configuration role can combine users. For more information about roles, refer to changing user roles.

Important: Please take extra care to ensure you have selected the correct users as this process cannot be undone and mistakes could give then access to another person's data.

Let us consider the scenario of combining two user accounts, say two managers into a unified login gateway. To combine users for this scenario follow the steps given below:

  1. Go to profiles and select managers.

  2. Click edit for one of the managers.

  3. Click the down arrow beside actions, then choose combine users. The combine user accounts screen appears.
    Here, you can see the details of the primary user - that you are going to login as.

Note: The primary selected user retains their login details, while the secondary accounts lose their original login details and are managed through the primary account. The primary user logs in with their original credentials and can switch between the combined accounts using a gateway login.

  1. Then you can add secondary accounts. In this scenario, they can be other types of managers. At this point, you can remove any users that you have added by mistake, you would not be allowed to remove users after successful submission.

  2. After you have selected as many secondary accounts as you want, then you can submit.
