Unified login gateway for simplified access

Unified login gateway for simplified access

We have introduced the concept of a unified user gateway that allows users to have a single set of login details, which they use to access a gateway where they can select another user to switch into. This eliminates the need to remember multiple login credentials for different accounts, such as one for LTD company user and one for PAYE. Users will only need to remember one password, eliminating the hassle of managing multiple passwords and their expiration dates.

By selecting a primary user with login details for the gateway, users can then add one or more secondary users, which will be available for selection on the gateway screen alongside the primary user. Both the primary and secondary users will lose their original login roles, requiring them to use the gateway login details copied from the primary user when the accounts are combined.

Combining user accounts can be helpful in several scenarios:

  • Managers working at multiple companies within the same agency.

  • Workers changing roles or payment types, such as switching between PAYE and limited company worker.

  • Users dealing with different currencies (EUR and GBP) could easily switch between accounts.

  • Consultants and admins using a single master login for accessing various accounts.

In the past, users needed separate user accounts and login details for different scenarios. However, with the unified user login gateway, after successful authentication (including SSO and MFA, as applicable), users will be presented with an option to choose which RSM InTime user account they would like to login as. It is important to note that these user account records remain restricted to a single agency.

Restrictions: Please note the following restrictions in the usage of unified login gateway:

  • You can only combine user accounts from the same agency.

  • Please note the following points while combining users:

    • If a worker is selected as primary, they can only switch to other workers.

    • If a manager is selected as primary, they can only switch to other managers.

    • If a limited company user is selected as primary, they can only switch to other limited company users.

    • If a consultant is selected as primary, they can switch to workers, managers, limited company users, or other consultants.

    • If an admin is selected as primary, they can switch to workers, managers, limited company users, consultants, or other admins.
