Go to profiles and select the required user type from the list. You can modify user roles for managers, consultants, administrators, and workers.
Locate the user for which you would like to modify the roles, and select the arrow dropdown on the edit button.
Click change roles.
In the user roles screen, select or deselect the role options (create, write, write all, read, read all, delete, adv read, adv write, or switch) to set access or functionality rights against each main role listed on the left-hand side.
To view the list of role options and their descriptions, refer to role options.
To view the details each role permission, and its applicability, refer to role permissions.
If the role template set against a profile has menu items disabled, this will overwrite the user roles set. For example, if a user has create, write, write all, read, and read all user roles set against timesheets but has a role template assigned to their profile where timesheet items are disabled, the user will not be able to access timesheets despite having the user roles in place. Role templates can be set for administrators and consultants. If you wish to set the menu options available to a consultant or administrator user please seerole templates.
