The InTime AWR module is there to assist you in making sure you comply with the Agency Worker Regulations. For more information about what the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 mean and how they affect you please refer to the HMRC website.

The module can collect and provide information regarding Agency Worker Regulations to all users, including the contractor, umbrella provider, client and agency. Each of these users can be requested to provide information that they are responsible for. Alternatively, this can be manually entered by agency administrators. Automated requests can capture information from the relevant participants, including:

  • Contractor confirms business to business relationship.
  • Contractor provides work history.
  • Client provides comparator information.
  • Client confirms day one rights.

  • Umbrella confirms contractor is under Swedish derogation employment or not.

  • Umbrella provides their margin level.

InTime does not hold all the information required to be able to establish compliance with absolute certainty and in many cases some judgement and interpretation is required as part of the assessment. The intention of the module is to make an informed assessment based on the information it holds and to identify potential risks of non-compliance.

Configuring AWR Settings

There are a number of configuration points which enable you to specify how the AWR module will work for your agency. For example, you can specify the number of qualifying weeks after which non-compliant placements become designated 'high risk'. You can also specify that clients receive weekly notifications of their high risk placements. Generally the system defaults should be suitable unless you have specific requirements.

  1. From the menu bar, click Administration > AWR Configuration.
  2. On the AWR Configurations for Agency screen, adjust the configuration points as required. Each item has an explanation of the configuration point.
  3. When you have finished making your changes, click Save.

AWR Comparators

An AWR comparator holds the details of a permanent employees remuneration for a particular role. InTime uses this to compare against a contractors remuneration to determine if they are equivalent. An AWR comparator is distinguished by the Job Title and the Client company.

Normally you would create comparators by entering the details against a placement on the AWR report but you can also create them directly as follows:

  1. From the main menu, click Profiles > AWR Comparators.
  2. In the AWR Comparator Search screen, click Add Comparator.
  3. In the Create AWR Comparator screen, in the Client field, enter the name of the client that the comparator will be used for.
Tip. When you begin typing the name of the client, InTime will offer auto-completion suggestions.
  4. Enter the job title and the details of the role in the fields provided.
  5. When you have finished, click Save.
The saved comparator information is displayed:

How do I search for AWR comparators?

You can search all comparators in the system as follows and this will include those created by either method:

  1. From the main menu, click Profiles > AWR Comparators.
  2. In the AWR Comparator Search screen, enter the Client, Job Title, or both.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Click Edit to edit the comparator.
