When placements and other entities are imported into InTime from a front end system, it can be possible for key information to be incomplete causing issues during key InTime processes. To ensure profiles are as complete as possible when imported into InTime, profile validation can be enabled on your system. Once validation is enabled, functionality will be restricted against the placement and users on InTime until the relevant profiles are validated.

If you wish to enable validation on your system, please contact InTime Support to do so.

Once the validation has been enabled, you should begin by adding the Validated dashboard widget to the administrator dashboard. Go to System Configuration > Appearance > Dashboard Settings. Under Administrator dashboard select 'validated' and move to the right column using the > icon.

This will create a new widget on the dashboard called Not Validated. The counters will reflect the number of profiles within the system which have not yet been validated and will click through to the relevant profiles for review/validation. There is also a filter option on placement and worker search screens called Validated.

The validation tick box is located on the Main tab of each profile (client, worker, placement, provider). Only administrator users can validate profiles.

A placement is not considered to be fully validated until all entities assigned to the placement have been validated. Prior to full validation, timesheets can be created as draft but cannot be submitted by any user including via bulk entry and paper processing.
