If you have a front-office system then you should not edit the details of parties and entities (such as clients, contractors, and so on) within InTime, as these will be overwritten with updates from your front-office system.  All of your contractors, clients and placements will be created directly from the information in your front-office system.

The exception to this is that any attributes that are not included in your integration specification can be safely updated directly in InTime.
