Manually Adding Points To a Grade
Editting or Adding Data On a Point
Usage
The Grade screen allows you to add new Grades, Points and rates against a company. New Points and rates can be added manually or imported from the standard rates.
Adding a New Grade
Add a new Grade by clicking on the plus sign.
- Grade: Enter your new grade here. This must be unique to the company. Note: you can only save the record once something has been entered in this field.
- Teacher: Determines whether a worker's hourly rate is calculated as a Teacher and whether attached workers are included in the Teachers MDC submission.
Press the tick to save. The new grade will now appear in the drop down list. Click on the pencil icon to edit the Grade. You can add and then edit points using the methods below.
Deleting a Grade
Select the grade from the drop down list and then press the cross icon. A grade cannot be deleted if it has points added against it.
Manually Adding Points To a Grade
To add a new Point, enter pointid, description**, start date, applied date* and amount in the first row of the table and press Add. All fields must be completed. Your new Point will be added to the table.
Please note that this functionality cannot be used to edit/update existing Points.
Editting or Adding Data On a Point
Selecting a row will show buttons that will allow you to edit/update the Point.
- Add: Enables you to add a new rate by entering a start date, applied date* and an amount. All fields must be completed.
- Edit: Enables you to edit the current record by entering a new description**, start date, applied date* or amount. All fields must be entered.
- Delete: Removes the current record if there are multiple records against this point. If there is only one record existing against the Point then it can only be deleted if there are no workers set against this Point.
- Show History: Displays historical data associated with the Point. Displays the Hide History button to hide the data.
Importing Rates Onto a Grade
Select which Grade you would like to import rates against from the drop down list and click on the import icon to navigate to the import screen.
On this screen you can pick a standard Grade to import rates from. Select a date from the drop down list and enter an applied date* for this company then click import. The Grade that you are importing against is shown in the top left of the panel so you can check that you have selected the correct Grade.
If the Points already exist then a new record will be added against them otherwise new Points will be created. If a description already exists against another Point then the import will fail.
* Please note: The applied date and start date must fall after any previous records against a Point and the applied date must fall on or after the start date. The applied date for a new record must not be earlier than the start date of the current pay period at the time of entry. Once the applied date is in the past the record cannot be edited
** Please note: The Description cannot be the same as an existing Point on the same Grade.
