Earnings Related National Insurance. InTime allows you to automatically add an estimation of ERNI onto a timesheet. It is only an estimate because the calculation is based solely on the the value of that one timesheet and does not take into account any other earnings that the worker can have in that period.
The calculation will use the weekly NI threshold for weekly timesheets. The monthly threshold will be used for all other durations of timesheets. Therefore you should not use this filter for two-weekly, four-weekly or 4-4-5 timesheets.
These rules can be configured on a per-placement or per-client basis.
Restrictions
This facility is only available to clients who have purchased the Time Patterns and Filters Module
Configuration
This section describes how this can be configured for a placement
Find the placement that you wish to apply the filter to and then select the Filters tab. Choose the Create an estimated ERNI shift
Set the following parameters:
- For the Viewable By Worker field enter Y if you wish the worker to see the extra shift or N otherwise.
- Enter the name of the rate you want to use in the Rate Name field
- In the pay element code enter _DEFAULT_ to use the same pay element as used by the first shift on the timesheet. If you want to use a specific pay element then enter the code.
The value of the added shift will be calculated using the pay value of all shifts which attract ERNI.
Example
