Simplified placement tax code configuration
We have simplified the configuration of tax codes for placements. The ability to have multiple tax rates for the same line on an invoice was introduced in the RSM InTime V25.09 release. For further details, please refer to multiple tax rates for single line on invoice.
Both sales and purchase tax codes now offer the following options:
You can add sales and purchase tax codes. If tax codes are added, the system uses the placement tax codes provided.
If no tax codes are added, you can select a placement sales VAT code override or a placement purchase VAT code override.
If neither of the options above is used, you may inherit tax codes from the client (for sales) and the worker or provider (for purchases) using the use inherited VAT code check boxes.
The following tax settings have been relocated from the placement → advanced tab to the placement → tax codes tab:
Deduct PAYE and NIC from Ltd Company on this placement
Recharge Pension / Employer NI
CIS placement
Ability to disable worker entry for timesheets and expenses separately
As per the current behaviour, the agency checkbox on the placement -> general tab disables both timesheet and expense entry for workers on that placement. We have now added an agency only entry checkbox on the placement’s timesheet and expenses tabs to disable worker entry for timesheets and expenses separately.
See the table below for system behaviour when selecting or deselecting agency checkboxes on placement tabs:
Agency (placement → general) | Agency only entry (placement →timesheets) | Agency only entry (placement →expenses) | System Behaviour |
|---|---|---|---|

Improvements to the timesheet adjustment wizard
We have introduced a new date picker option for the period column in the timesheet adjustment wizard. It allows users to change the timesheet period for part credit and re-invoice or full credit and re-invoice options. Please note that this feature is not supported for partial credit or invoice option.
Improvements in timesheet visibility based on client settings
If payment application is enabled for a client (via edit client > advanced > enable payment applications checkbox), their timesheets will appear exclusively in sales → generate payment applications. If self-billing is enabled for a client (via edit client > invoicing > self billing checkbox), the timesheets will only appear in sales -> process self bill. If payment applications or self-billing is not enabled, the timesheets will appear in sales -> generate invoices.
Please note that the payment applications functionality is part of our advanced billing module. If you would like to know more about the advanced billing module, please contact our account management team.
