Planning
When preparing for a PAYE parallel run between the legacy payroll and RSM InPay, there are several important considerations that should be factored into the planning process.
Full Run vs. Partial Snapshot
Consider whether you will conduct a full parallel run that replicates one or more pay periods across each payment frequency (e.g. Weekly, Monthly) or a smaller snapshot that focuses on key groups of workers. Our recommendation is to carry out a minimum of one full parallel run to ensure the most comprehensive comparison.
Resource Allocation
Ensure that adequate resources are allocated for the parallel run, including sufficient time for setup, execution, and issue resolution.
